My final for my design process notebook. This book showcases my projects from my senior project class. These are just a few of my favorite pages; there is a total of 28 pages including my final resume and business card. The photos are my own!
Project 2: Sea Change Leoparello Calendar
Calendar design according to our harmonic pattern and personality. I decided to go with the theme of ripples and meanders pattern. I attempted to get my di-cuts done at a graphic design print shop but it came out to $1000 ! Everything was hand cut using colored paper from the local paint shop. I also added a texture to the text colors to add to the layered affect.
Project 3: life intention – nonprofit organization
Design Collective is a versatile social network utilized by artists with a vision. We cover four main areas: greener planet, healthy lifestyle, diversity, equality. Our organization globally connects artists who are compatible in passions.
The main issue for this project was deciding an identity. Our group wanted to stick with the premise of collaboration so the visual of the venn diagram was important to our logo.
This is the cover page to my senior project powerpoint presentation. I source my inspiration back to Sebastian Baptista’s inspirational animation.
For my final project in my Digital Media class, I worked in Sketch Up to recreate my own version of the Star Wars artillery machines “At-At’s”.
I updated my version of the Fairmont Hotel and wanted to create it in a futuristic world with Star War’s attillery machines. This connects with the premise of digital media because I took an existing landmark in San Jose and recreated it’s environment with fantasy devices. I also took artist and designers Ryan Church and Joe Johnston’s “Walker” creation and made my own version of it.
I used Ryan Church’s concept of the Walker as inspiration for my final. I was intrigued by his own vision of architecture, vehicles, and planets so I wanted to include my own creation of the Walker. This project allowed me to use all of the tools in sketch up.
My first time working with After Effects
My assignment in my intermediate graphic design class required me to create a giv/mov that would motivate internet browsers to look into unwater.org. I wanted to stay consistent with the concept that I used throughout the school semester so I focused my subject on the umbrella. It was hand drawn, scanned, and vectored. And I swear to (some religious figure) that I search high and low any tutorial that would support every single movement created and animated in this. It was the longest 15 seconds of my life.
My first time working with Google Sketch. Recreated my own take on the Fairmont Hotel in Downtown San Jose. Finished product coming Monday.
Looking at my options for my final design project. My concept is the connection between time and the life span of a healthy bell pepper; 2 weeks, 336 hours. I vectored two different bell peppers. One has a more accurate shape and the other has a better concept. If only they would mesh together as one successful bell pepper! Final outcome is due December 12th!
Project 2 of my Intermediate Graphic Design class. This was my first time working with multiple folds for a design. It was a good first time experience in that I learned the importance of continuous text size and organized layouts and color schemes. This project only touched the surface of what I aspire to design. I recognize that it has much room for improvement and anticipate my growth in design. Working with this also opened my eyes to different types of print, paper, and quality overall. A definite eye-opener for me as an entry level designer.
